Ontario Dairy Youth Award

This award was initiated in 1980 by the Ontario Holstein Spring Show Committee and is designed to recognize young people (ages 25-35) who are actively involved in the operation of a dairy farm, have shown leadership abilities and have made a contribution to their community and their breed.

About

The four district winners receive an all expenses paid trip to The Westerner Dairy Showcase in Red Deer, Alberta in October with two days of farm tours and one day in the Rocky Mountains.

This award is funded by the Ontario Dairy Youth Trust Fund and Holstein Ontario.

The selection is decided through a combination of the application and a personal interview

2026 Application Deadline:  March 6th, 2026

Recognizing young people between the ages of 25-35 that are actively involved in the operation of a dairy farm, have shown leadership abilities, and have made a contribution to their community and the Holstein Breed. Applications are due March 6th, 2026. After an interview, one winner will be chosen for each District.
