Eight Awards for Graduating High School Students Pursuing Post-Secondary Education

You could be one of eight winners of this year’s Toronto Regional Real Estate Board’s Past President’s Scholarship awards!

Eligible students may apply for one of eight awards: two $5,000 first-place, two $2,500 second-place, two $2,000 third-place, and two $1,500 fourth-place awards.

Sixty-six deserving students have received scholarships through the TRREB Past President’s Scholarship program. Meet our eight winners from 2023, Lukas Othen, Ravetta Ravichandran, Eva Chima, Tina Xia, Allenna Tang, Ayla Bubber, Gajanandi Rajakulenthiran, and Yalda Matin; read their winning essays; and discover their future education and career goals.

Since the program’s inception in 2007, students have benefitted from $244,000 in scholarship money.

To qualify, students must demonstrate academic achievement, show an interest in a field related to the real estate industry, leadership skills and community involvement, address a real estate industry-related question, and write a 1,500- to 1800-word essay on one of two timely topics. This year's topics address: (1) whether our rental market can accommodate increased demand in the Greater Golden Horseshoe; and (2) resolving the housing supply shortage in the Greater Golden Horseshoe.

The deadline to apply is 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

The scholarships are awarded to the eight winners in the summer.
